A license never expires. The versions you’re entitled to keep working for as long as you use them.
Three years included
Every release in the three years after you buy is yours. After that, renew for another three years at a reduced price, or keep the version you have.
One person, two computers
A license is for one person on up to two computers, a desktop and a laptop, say.
30 days, nothing held back
Start it with one click in Leta, and every feature runs for 30 days, one evaluation per computer. After that it still opens parts, models and measures, but won’t save or export until it’s licensed.
A license needs no internet connection
A license is tied to one computer and checked on that computer alone. There’s no activation server and no account.
The machine code identifies the computer and nothing else: no name, no account, no file names, nothing about what you model. Starting the 30-day evaluation is the one time Leta goes online; a computer without a connection can start it here from any computer that has one.

Licensing questions
Is Leta a subscription?
No. You buy a perpetual license with three years of updates. Renewing for more updates is optional, and a version you’re entitled to keeps working whether you renew or not.
What happens when my three years of updates end?
Everything released during your three years is yours to keep and keeps working. A version released after that asks you to renew before it saves or exports, and tells you which version is the last one you’re entitled to.
I replaced a disk or reinstalled Windows. Do I need a new license?
No. A license is bound to four things about the computer, and it keeps working as long as three of them still match, so a new disk or a fresh Windows keeps your license.
How do I move my license to a new computer?
Remove the license from the old computer (there’s a button for it in the license dialog), then send the new computer’s machine code and say it’s a move. There’s no charge.
Can I use Leta at work?
Yes. Leta is sold to businesses and individuals alike. Each license is for one person, so buy one for each person who uses it.
Can I get a refund?
The 30-day evaluation is the trial, with every feature included, so change-of-mind refunds aren’t offered. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under your local consumer law.
Why does the evaluation go online?
So that each computer gets one. The evaluation is a license letacad.com makes out to your computer when Leta asks for it, and asking again, even after reinstalling Leta, gives back the same one with the same end date. Leta sends this computer’s machine code and nothing else. A computer with no internet connection can start its evaluation here from any computer that has one.
What happens to my parts if my evaluation ends?
Nothing. Leta still opens them, and they’re plain files on your disk that any text editor can read. It just won’t save or export until it’s licensed.
